Christmas Programs

Dalyse's class put on the cutest christmas program ever! They all did a great job and I know Dalyse had tons of fun being in the spotlight and having us all there just to see her!! She did a great job!

Skylar participated in the 2nd grade christmas choir this year. They performed their christmas songs at Barnes and Noble in the mall. It was great!

We spent Thanksgiving at my mom's house this year. It was very nice and the food was wonderful. Very casual get together and eat - Just the way I like it!

Sky's 7th Birthday!!

I can't believe she is already 7! The time is flying by soooo fast! This year Skylar chose to celebrate her birthday by spending the day with some of her friends at Boomers. It turned out to be tons of fun and Sky had a great time. They played mini golf, got soaked on the bumper boats, took a ride on the go karts, and climbed the rock wall. Of course there was pizza, cake, and presents!

Halloween 2009

It was another fun filled Halloween. The girls all looked so cute in their costumes. We had a great time at the church Trunk or Treat and then trick or treating in Skylar's best friend's hood.

Skylar was a Vampire (she announced that she was not a girly girl and wanted to be scary this year)

Dalyse was a Butterfly Princess and was so excited for me to put make up on her (she is a girly girl)

and last but not least Saryah was a Pink Fairy (she pronouced it hairy) she was soo excited about the candy!

Back to School!

Today was the first day of school for the new year. Dalyse was excited and a little nervous about her first day in Kindergarden, but she did great. It was nice that she got the same teacher Skylar had for Kinder, Mrs. Howe, because it was in a familiar place for Dalyse. Dalyse was most excited for school because that meant she would get to wear her new clothes!

I can't believe that Sky is already in the 2nd grade. She is growing way too fast! She got Mrs. Jacobson this year and is very excited that school is back. Once again she has her BFF Lucy in her class this year which Sky is also excited about. It's the same thing this year with her as well, she can't wait to get rid of me, she's already asking if I can just drop her off tomorrow and not go into her class! Gotta love her! I suppose her independence will be a great asset when she is older at least I'm hoping!

Happy 5th Birthday, Dalyse!

We've been having tons of fun since summer has begun! One of the special events we have every summer is celebrating Dally's Birthday. This year she chose to have a party at Chuck E Cheese. She had so much fun and I was relieved that she chose a place where I wouldn't have to do much with planning. I can't believe it's been 5 years! I can remember the day I had her like it was yesterday. And soon she'll go to her first day of Kindergarden. Skylar didn't let me get all mushy about this stuff 'cause she was sooo independent. I had to convince her to let me walk her in on the first day of Kindergarden and by the second day she was begging me not to come in again! So I think all my whole "My baby's growing up" tears are coming out with Dalyse. She loves it though so it works. I just hope I don't cry at school with her! Anyhow she had a great day and got so many fun gifts. Thanks to all who helped us celebrate and make her day a special one!!

Happy Easter every bunny!

So we had a nice relaxing Easter this year which was much needed, the relaxing part. The girls had a good time and the services at church were nice as well. Last week we went up and visited with Rita and Gordon. They watched the girls while Mitch and I met with clients and they surprised the girls with an egg hunt. The girls had a blast and loved the hunt!

On Easter the girls woke up to their baskets except Sky who had the stomach flu (no fun), then we went to church (minus Mitch and Sky) and later got together with my parents and had tons of good food. It was nice and simple and I think we all enjoyed ourselves except poor Skylar!

Not your average day at the park

Mitch and I took Dally and Saryah to the park the other day while Sky was at school. We were enjoying ourselves then Dally really started having fun. She saw some other kids running through the water and decided to join in on the fun. We ended up leaving the park shortly after the fun because she was so cold.

CPK, Yummy!!

Wow I am on a roll! Twice in like less then 2 weeks...I'm so proud!!

Dally's class went on a field trip to California Pizza Kitchen. They looked so cute making their little cheese pizzas. They had a good time, made a pizza, took a tour of the resturant and ate! Good times!

Skylar is doing awesome in school! Last week she was named Reading Champion in her class and was given her award during the 1st grade assembly. She was so excited!

Oh I have to mention too, both girls love to participate in primary so much they actually fight about it. So Skylar gave the talk last week and the subject was Fathers and their role in the family of course I wrote it and she just read it and her first time reading it was when she was giving the talk, but she's giving the talk and Mitch is sitting in the back and reads the sentence about how she loves her dad and is so proud of him for all he does and stops, looks up at Mitch, put her head to the side and smiled at him. It was cute but after writting it out maybe you had to be there. Oh well Read it sucka!! Dally gives awesome talks too..there now I'm a fair mom! I love them both the same!! I mean all three the same.

Field Trip!!

By the way this is for all of you who tell me I suck at keeping up with this page...

Skylar and her first grade class were able to visit the date festival for the day on Thursday Feb 19th. The weather was absolutely perfect and I was glad I was able to go with her. It was an educational trip of course though, but they still had fun. We got to check out the art work that each student submitted. Sky's art got 2nd place!! We also got to visit the rock exhibit which was interesting then we ate lunch while watching the ostrich races. Kinda gross so I tried not to think about it. After we went into the petting karral where the kids had a blast and for the most exciting part SNOWCONES!!!
