Catch Up! Major

So I'm not so good at keeping up with this new hobbie. I've made the sacrifice of not working so I would have time to do this. So tough! So here's what I missed...

Skylar recieved an award at school for knowing her first 100 sight words. She is awesome and loves to read.

Welcome Home Jason~~ On Nov. 19th the family drove down to the OC airport to meet Jason for his arrival home from his 2 year mission. We were all so excited to see him. It was so great to be all together again. I can't say enough how proud we are of him and his example he has set for our family. We missed him so much are are so glad to have him home.
Thanksgiving Parties~~~Both Skylar and Dalyse had a funfilled day at school celebrating thanksgiving. At Skylar's school they celebrated by having a huge feast with all of the 1st grade classes. They made pilgram and indian costumes, too and they all looked so cute. It was also the day her class sang Happy Birthday to her and her BFF, Lucy, who's b-day is the day before Sky's.

Meanwhile at Morning Star Dalyse and the other preschoolers had prepared all month for their special reinactment of the first Thanksgiving. They sang song and taught the parents all about the holiday. Soooo cute!!!

Skylar is 6!!!
We had an all day celebration for Skylar's 6th Birthday. Sky took about 5 friends and some cousins with her to Build-a-Bear in the Temecula Mall where they all got to make a new friend and then had pizza and cupcakes at Round Table Pizza. We all met at 9:30 am and by the time all the girls got home it was close to 6:30 pm. They had tons of fun and it was a great day for Sky Sky.

Let The Games Begin!

Skylar started soccer and this year she is on the Blue Pumas coached by the ever handsome, extremely athletic, Mitch Matthews. Also known as Big Daddy. Well in all seriousness, Mitch is the coach, but he got roped into it in order to get Sky on a team. Which by default means I am team mom. Yea me! Here are some shots of her on opening day. The local newspaper The Desert Sun got an awesome shot of her and put it in the paper.

Here's shots of her at game 3, please note her enthusiasm.haha

First day of School!

Skylar started the first grade a couple of weeks ago! I know I know I need to catch up. I can't believe she going to be six soon. She was completly excited and ready, as was I, for school. We are so happy to be in the same class as her best friend Lucy Kubas. They were in the same class last year and became really great friends. Her teacher is Mrs. Paquette and we really enjoy her. Sky is already having a blast and doing great. Of course I was only allowed to walk her into her class on the first day and now must drop her off at the gate and I only blown a kiss goodbye. She's so independent!

Dalyse has started pre-school and is loving it! She's going to Morning Stars where big sis Sky went a couple years ago, so Dally is really excited to be going there now. She's doing great and to my surprise lets me leave everyday! She already got to have a share day, where they get to bring a toy and she is the special helper for the day. This week she's the star of the week and she's really excited to share her all about me poster with her new school friends.

San Diego Vacation

Hello Blog page! I finally did it thanks to my wonderful hubby who picked up the kids from school today I had a good hou to get my page up and thanks to the other wonderful bloggers out there for your influence.

So we were able to get a little family vacation in over the summer. We went to beautiful San Diego for the weekend. We got to go to the beach and let the girls play for a while, which they all loved! Later that night I had made arangements for a surprise birthday dinner for Mitch (which was the Tue. before) over at the Hard Rock Cafe. Needless to say it didn't happen. If you've ever been to Mission Beach then you know how small the parking spots are. We have a huge Suburban and parking that thing wasn't easy. So, when it came time to leave the beach to get ready for dinner we were stuck. Literatlly stuck in our spot! We tried for like 30 min to get out, but the retard (I mean person) parked next to us was sticking way out of his spot. All we could do was wait for someone next to us to move. In the meantime Rita, Gordon, Jasmine and Hunter are almost at Hard Rock. We eventually got out of our spot and they ended up meeting us in the parking lot. We decided to eat somewhere within walking distance, but we ended up going for a looooooong walk down the boardwalk (yeah from mission beach to pacific beach) and ended up at Joe's Crab Shack for din din. It turned out to be the perfect place for us and we finally got to celebrate. The waiter played this awesome birthday trick on Mitch to help us celebrate where he blindfolded Mitch and made him search for a cherry (that he never put in) in bowl of whiped cream with his hands behind his back. It made my night to watch! Definately a b-day to remember!

The next day we went to Sea World, where we've already been this year, but is always fun and the girls enjoy. This trip was extra special though because Dalyse got to be part of the show!! It was so cute!! Here's video...you can't hear too well, but the lady is asking if Dalyse has seen the submarine (which is the entire set) and Dalyse keeps saying no!! So she finally asks if Dalyse sees a ladder and Dalyse points to the set like she was suppose from the begginning! It was way cool for us to see!
